New Year Cycling
today, Sunday, the first real cycling of 2010 and our poor withered muscles certainly felt it. Not many miles - about 24 - but lots of up, with the highest point 400 metres, above Blaenafon. Three bikes, only one of interest, Carol's Moulton APB which did all the climbing but some of it very slowly indeed - bike or muscles? This unclear. Our efforts rewarded with soup and beer at the Goose, 2009's first hill climb venue. We finish the weekend tired, aching but determined that this is the start of our 2010 fitness campaign. Opening Gambit
This is your opportunity to keep in touch with old cycle interests as they vary and jump about with glee in all those parts of the world that appreciate good things.
We must wait and see how things develop in this space - and the ball is in your court. Remember that courtesy is old but not old fashioned and will be insited upon here.
Areas for discussion can ramble and wamble but a few of my favourites are Paris, Rensch, Raleigh, Centaur, Maclean, Frederick, Major Nichols -they will do for a start. As for details, how about talking about gears, lugs, mudguards, saddles, old cyclists.
Lighthearted comments and thoughts please!
